Recently, Terry Lui, CEO of DVN (Holdings) Limited and Board Chairman of DVN Group was awarded the Outstanding Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards in Hong Kong. At 8 p.m. on December 2, 2009, the award ceremony for Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards and Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards 2009 was held by Enterprise Asia at JW Marriott Hotel. Ms. Leung Lau Yau-fun, member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region attended the ceremony.

Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards and Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards 2009 are leading regional awards for outstanding entrepreneurs who have made contribution to social development and promote the enterprise spirits in their respective countries so as to encourage them to make more efforts on national construction and promote social prosperity. On the other hand, it is also intended to recognize and honor the contributions made by successful entrepreneurs in their fields so as to cultivate more outstanding entrepreneurs to make vigorous contributions to the society.

Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards are the most influential recognition awards in the region with strict standard of review for candidates. All candidates shall have shown outstanding performance and tenacity in leading successful business development within the region, and forge ahead with visions against all odds and challenges. They shall have the vision and plan to lead their companies to become leading businesses in the near future. Among them, the overwhelming majority of the candidates are general manager or CEO of listed companies. Only those who have led their enterprises with accumulated revenue of not less than USD 10 million over the past two years may be nominated.

Up to 2009, the awards have covered 16 countries and regions and 10 outstanding entrepreneurs from 4 countries have been honored as the Outstanding Asia Pacific Entrepreneur this year, including Ho Yau Lung, son of “king of gambling in Asia” Stanley Ho Hung San and Chairman and CEO of Melco International Development Limited. Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited was awarded the Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards.

Terry Lui mentions that the award is the recognition of the hard work of DVN in the digital video industry over the past years. He will continue to work together with DVN employees to further promote the development of the enterprise and provide excellent technology and service to China and even the whole world.
