CMMI, also known as capability maturity model integration, is an international authoritative standard introduced by the SEI of Carnegie Mellon University. Intended for measuring the capability maturity and project management skills of software companies, it covers a broad range of activities including software development, integration, project management, outsourcing and procurement, and project support and maintenance, involving the whole life cycle from concept introduction to delivery to maintenance. It has been universally recognized as a permit for enterprises to get access to the international market.
