
Recently the integrative digital television transformation project has been initiated in Nanxun and Wuxing districts of Huzhou, Zhejiang. DVN was the only winner of the bid for CA Smart Card, and became qualified to supply set-top boxes as a major supplier.
Nanxun and Wuxing are districts of Huzhou City. Since ancient times, the area has been famous as a place of economic boom, gathering of talents and richness. Nanxun Town is one of the six ancient towns in the south of the lower reaches of the Yangze River, and also a rare rich place in modern history of China. Wuxing Zhili Town famous for its textile industry is the “Town of Children’s Garments” and one of the famous clothing bases in China. A total of 24 towns and 2 economic and technical development zones will participate in the project at the same time. It is estimated that the users will exceed 300,000.
Even before the commencement of the project, DVN has had lots of cooperation with Huzhou. Since the project was initiated in Huzhou, DVN has provided overall technical services from the head end system to terminal products. The success in winning the bid for Nanxun and Wuxing project is rolling-out of their good cooperation, and also a proof of operators’ full trust in DVN. As informed, among the terminals to be supplied by DVN, there are also high-end HMC and economical ancillary terminal set-top box in addition to STB8 series, the major product for the first television involved in the project.
